30 Day Declutter Challenge: Day 1
13 Dec
I’ve committed to the authentic journey of connecting with myself and aligning my energy on a daily basis.
Every day I’m committing time to connect with myself in stillness and simple breathing, plus writing to both get thoughts out of my head and to tap into my inner wisdom. It’s the writing process that’s important rather than any spectacular insights or results though.
As well as the inner connection, I’m committing to RELEASING one thing from my life each and every day. It could be something physical like decluterring a desk or room, it could be to remove an unnecessary task or commitment from my life, or it could be a mental or emotional release.
In order to move ourselves forward, we MUST release the clutter both physically and energetically. It’s like having ropes that pin us down. Think about how many little niggling things you have come to mind that you “should” do but never get around to. Paying a certain bill, making a phone call, going through your emails and deleting or filing them, calling the plumber to fix the leaky taps…and so on.
Feel the way this drags on your energy constantly! Feel the guilt associated with not having done those things…yet again. What a waste of energy!
There’s only one way to clear this space within and around you – systematically and consistently declutter your mind and life!
So here I begin, with an area of my life that has been one of my biggest issues for years. We all have certain things that hold us back, keeping us from living to our fullest potential… What’s yours??
So in preparation for the most spectacular year ahead (can you tell I can’t wait for 2010?), I’m a commitment to my own success and most abundant, authentic self. I’m a commitment to releasing all that holds me back in ANY way.
Day 1 declutter commitment:
Give the dog his long overdue hair cut!
I’m giving myself 1 hour devoted to this, so no mucking around.
Brilliantly yours,
Donna
P.S. It’s kind of a releasing feeling already knowing that those other niggling things will be tended to in the next 30 days, so I can already release my energetic link to them today.
P.P.S. I invite you to do your own declutter challenge along with me! Share your small declutter challenges in the comments each day and check back in when they’re done to let us know how you went. Here’s to feeling lighter, wonderful and spacious, both within and without!
